3-Way Team Approach
The Printer, The Photographer/Representative, and the School
Our school annual program is designed to produce the best pictorial history possible with the least amount of time, effort, or frustration. Simplicity is the key. When each member of our three-way team does his/her part, a successful result is assured.
The Printer provides processing forms, instruction material, and project design tools.
The Photographer/Representative establishes production deadlines, supports the school personnel during the design process, and provides high quality images of all subjects.
The School edits student/faculty data, designs yearbook pages using one of the supported design tools and submits finished files and any image data. The school also returns the material or submits it on-line, along with a pre-payment check, to the Photographer/Representative in keeping with the established production deadline. The design tools will help edit your data, proof your copy, and assemble your yearbook components.
The Photographer/Representative double checks the School’s order then forwards it, along with the pre-payment check, to the printer.
The Printer verifies receipt of the order, establishes projected shipping date and confirms cost of the book. We then monitor quality and the accuracy of reproduction. On completion your order is delivered to you via your Photographer/Representative’s instruction.

Design Tools
Using A+ Online
A+ Publisher On-Line offers flexible page design, the use of PSPA industry standard student/faculty photo CD, and the ability to use your own digital images. With an internet connection, it provides the opportunity to work on your project from home or school without transporting files. It also gives you the ability to have more than one person working on the project at once. As you upload your digital images they are stored and a low-res thumbnail is supplied to you for maintaining a fast design interface. Once your order is submitted, Carr Publishing takes care of creating the high-resolution files for printing of your book order.
Using Commercial Software
If you have the expertise and proper software, you may choose to submit your yearbook in a fully digital manner using one of the accepted page design programs. All images must be digitized then linked properly to the yearbook file, and all files, images, and fonts associated with your yearbook must be supplied for production. The acceptable page design programs are QuarkXpress, or InDesign. Two other page design programs may be used at an additional cost - Microsoft Publisher and PageMaker.
Using Yearbooks!
Yearbooks! is a design software created specifically for yearbook publication. It works similar to other commercial design programs. It hasn't as many features, but it does allow great flexibility in the placement of images and text on your yearbook pages. Another advantage over the other commercial design programs is its ability to import images and data from PSPA industry standard photo CD's. This program is available on request.
